Sending SMS via the hosted SIM requires a physical SIM to deliver the messages. Messages are delivered via the phone number of the hosted SIM. The maximum delivery rate on the hosted SIM is about ten pages per minute. Sim hosting is recommended for low volume personalised messages, and this is because a SIM can be flagged as sending too many messages.

The pricing is the same for all tiers when using SIM hosting. Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 pay ₦1.85 per page on Airtel.
