The corporate world for a long while has made use of SMS as a means to keep in touch with their customers and give them a feeling of belonging. Although there is an argument that SMS should not be used to deliver official messages, such as “you are Fired”, there are ways to use SMS officially that would not reduce the value of what you are trying to communicate or your professionalism. Today, we are going to look at samples of an official SMS format.
Why is SMS Good for Official Messaging?
Unlike other social forms of messaging, one does not need to have mobile data or airtime to view an SMS, this is why it is very convenient. SMS are also less likely to interrupt a person’s day, and more likely to be read. SMS can come in handy when an organization wants to communicate to its internal or external public, on matters such as; new developments, reminders, invitations to events, promotions, etc.
SMS has over time proved efficient in the above-mentioned situations. This is a tactic used by most organizations to pass messages across including seasonal greetings. This is not detached from reality as it is not out of place to assume that our message box is filled with messages from professional organizations that we are affiliated with, one way or the other.
Nevertheless, there are formats to write these SMSs to avoid presenting your organization as tacky and unprofessional. In case you are in a state of confusion, trying to figure out how to format your official SMS, below are a few Samples of Official SMS formats.
*Reminders
