The SmartSMSSolutions API now has the full capability of pushing message delivery reports to your specified server through a chosen URL. What that means is that you can now receive the delivery report of the messages you sent directly into your app at the DLR callback URL you provide. This new feature ensures that you no longer need to guess the delivery report for your bulk SMS.
How to Configure DLR Callback URL
Please follow the steps enumerated below to activate the Push DLR feature on your account:
- Login to your SMS account at https://www.app.smartsmssolutions.com using your email address and password
- On the first page that comes up, locate the Developer Tools found as one of the options on the menu options on the left. Click on that.
- Then proceed to select DLR Callback URL
- Under the box labeled PUSH URL, specify the URL you want the delivery report pushed to
- Then change the Status under to Enabled (This should be on Disabled by default)
- Click on Update DLR Callback
Once this is done, anytime messages are sent and delivery is confirmed, the status of the message sent is posted back to your server so you can monitor the report. The DLR data will be sent to the URL as a JSON object.
Please note that in order for the system to accept your URL in the header, it must return an HTTP Status Code of 200.
