The Sender ID is that name, word, combination of characters or number you want the recipients of your message to get as the place the message is coming from or the sender of the message once it has been sent. This can be your name, the name of the organization the SMS represents, your business name, your association’s name or acronym representing it, depending on what the message is meant for.
WHY WOULD I NEED TO USE A SENDER ID
This provision is very important in cases where you are sending SMS to people who do not have your phone number, or you want the recipients to at least identify where the message is coming from instead of just using a phone number.
