How to Configure API-x for SMSPORTALCREATOR Version 3 and Version 4 (SPC 4 and SPC 4) to Deliver to DND Phone Numbers

  31 January 2017

API-x is the flagship SMS API from SmartSMSSolutions that provides the most robust functionality in the Nigerian Mobile Marketing space. It delivers to phone numbers on DND, support different message types (Plain Text, Flash Text, Unicode SMS and Unicode Flash SMS) and returns the most comprehensive delivery status report.

Since SMSPORTALCREATOR (SPC v3 & v4) is the commonly used component for building Bulk SMS website, the documentation below aims at providing the needed instruction to make the set up process as a simple as possible.

Generate the API-x Token

The first step is to generate an API-x Token. API-x uses a passwordless system to add an extra layer of security to your SMS account. You learn how to generate a token here.

Create a New API in SPC

The next step is to set up a new API in your SPC component. On the SPC Admin Menu, click API Manager.

If you using SPC 3 this can be found at http://yourwebsite.com/index.php?option=com_spc&view=Admin+-+Add+API& or you click on “Add API” on your admin menu
