“I Get Error 2905 While Trying to Send Bulk SMS”

You might likely get the Error 2905 response when trying to send bulk SMS using the mobile application or using the API. Here is what this error message means and how to handle this if it occurs.

 

WHAT DOES ERROR 2905 MEAN?

Error 2905 while trying to send an SMS means ‘Invalid username/password combination’

 

WHY DO I GET THIS RESPONSE?

You get the Error 2905 response when you are entering an incorrect username or an incorrect password.

This might be because you have forgotten your username or your password or both. In cases where you are sure you are entering the correct password and username, it might be a factor of the case used in the password as passwords are case sensitive.

 

WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I GET ERROR 2905?

  • If you get this response, try again using the correct username and password

 

  • If the response persist and you are quite sure you are entering the correct the username and password, try changing the case for the password as the password can be case sensitive

AVOID ERROR 2905 COMPLETELY

Remember too that special characters and punctuations are also considered either in the username or the password. This means that commas, full stops, hyphen, space, and even numbers when used during registration are part of the username and/or password.
